Final* Fix!

For Stage 7, anyway. After this, work begins on Stage 8. I have seen sprites. They are shiny. Expect the release sometime in the next couple weeks.
Final 7th Stage fix is available here:

  • Stuff we fixed!
-Fixed Molior Frame Wrecking Ball Animation
-Fixed Musai's Battle Sprite
-Fixed Master Chief's "Lock On" Seishin.
-Fixed Tessaract's Size from S to L
-Stage 5 and Stage 6 properly show the Mission Objectives now
-Misc. Stage 7 Typos and Dialogue Errors

And, by popular demand, Stage 7 Gyras Enemies have been powered down.

That's it for now. Look forward to Stage 8! It will be snazzy, and you won't have to wait two months for it. Rejoice and Enjoy.

Drumroll, Please

And the winner is...

Kamen Rider!

Yay?

...Personally, the whole insect-esque thing creeps me out. Bugs. +shiver+

On the other hand, there is quite a lot of rider-kicking involved. Which makes it awesome.

Possibly awesome enough to overpower my supposedly irrational fear of small, fast, pathogen-carrying creepy-crawly things.

...You're forgiven.

Lucky Number Seven!

Yes, it's true! After a 2.5 month delay, SRWCF stage 7 is finally finished! And it's super snazzy! Observe:

  • Master Chief, clever bastard, has his very own Hijack system. This means he can mess around in one robot...
...Hijack another one from the enemy...

...and take a joyride! Then switch again when he gets bored.

It's basically stealing, but without all those pesky moral/legal strings attached. Because it's for a good cause. Right?

  • The nifty new Encyclopedia! All kinds of handy information.
Here, you can learn more about your units...

...or listen to a character brag about his achievements!

Er. I mean. Learn about their deep, dark secret pasts and stuff.

  • Here we see Idris, showing off the snazzy new Aptitude system (accessible from the Intermission screen)! Look at that shiny background!
Of course, the system's pretty cool, too. The characters are, at present, limited in what they can pilot by their aptitude with certain types of units. This can be rather inconvenient. Now, however, they can learn new aptitudes, become acquainted with different unit types, and become more versatile and less useless (for a price)! All this training also gives them something to do on those long space jumps.

  • Next on the list, unit icons! Your robots are now represented by cute little robot heads, instead of crushed little mini-robots.

  • Stage 7 also welcomes two new units! They're so colorful!

As you can see, a whole host of new and exciting things await in Stage 7! So the wait was worth it. Thanks for being so patient, everyone.

Enjoy~

Still Alive

Careful, you do not want that song stuck in your head.

Hello, everyone! Jessica, here, back from her lovely caribbean vacation, to let you all know that, despite the ridiculous delay, we are still alive, and still working. To prove it, check out this sexyshiny thing:
Yep. That, ladies and gents, is the Verein 2.0. It's shiny. It's black. It's a giant robot. It's coming to you... In the next update. Which will happen. Soon. ...Ish. ...We promise.

=D

Enjoy

Back at it!

Hello everyone, Dan here.

These past few days I was unable to type much of the story/dialogue so Stage 7 has been a little delayed( I apologize to all our dear players.), but to compensate we have worked on other stuff.

-Improved the Verein 1st sprite, looks a lot better now. Old one for comparison.

-The Item Equip screen has been improved, now instead of a confusing list of names, you'll be shown a list of mech icons, clicking on it and choosing "Equip" to change items.

-Aptitude/Expertise System is being worked on. What is this Aptitude System you ask? It's a S-E-C-R-E-T. More on this later.

And other things, wait and see.

Also, SRWJ has won the poll by a mere 1 point. Rejoice! Time to fire up my GBA, I mean, time to finish up stage 7 for you guys :)

PS: Jessie is on vacation, thus why I'm the one posting updates.

Little Accident.

Hey guys, Dan here, at work today I suffered a little accident and got some minor burns on my right hand fingers, I'm having a friend type this because it hurts to type. I'll still work on the game in a way, just not extensive story/dialogue typing. =/

But, now for happy news! Today is Jessica's Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Work on Chapter 7 will be resumed soon.

Ow my beautiful fingers.

The Daily* Fix

An error involving Bruno (rather, a lack of Bruno) after the first wave of bugs in Stage 4 has been dealt with. Download the fix here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PNWPAD5O

Stage 6 will be out eventually. We haven't forgotten it. Dan says to blame E3 for the delay. Personally, I think it makes more sense to blame Dan, if only because he's fun to bother. I hereby grant everyone permission to whine at him.

Enjoy!

Name Change!

Welcome, all fans of SRWRE! We decided to change the game name, in order to minimize confusion with SRWE, the other SRW game in the works. SRWRE is now SRWCF, and as soon as we figure out what that stands for, we'll let you know. We also have two new team members! And stage 6 will be out soon, we promise.

As always, enjoy!

Good News!!

Stage 6 is almost complete! Rejoice!

Bad news: The release of stage 6 will be delayed approximately three* days because Dan is getting Ace 3.

I feel it prudent to remind everyone of an old saying: Don't shoot the messenger.

-Jessica

*Estimated. Subject to change without notice. Go bother him if it starts taking too long; he has a tendency to get entirely too absorbed in things.

Stage 5 seemed to have something going on when Ray battled Rakoj, it has been fixed, also:

-Added "Mission Objective" for Stage 5 that was apparently forgotten.

So the Stage 5 release seems to be running smoothly. Thus far, we've only recieved one bug report, an error message appearing in Sub-Mission 4. This has been taken care of, and the fix can be found here:

Happy International Nurse's Day!

That's right. It's International Nurse's Day. You may also be interested to know that, on this day in history, 1941, Konrad Zuse presented the world's first working, fully programmable computer in Berlin (according to Wikipedia). Even more interesting to note: Two days from this day in history (that is, May 14, 2009; yay for pacific time?), stage 5 of SRWRE will be released!! Excitement! Fanfare! Cookies! And, because we can, a kitten:

The Daily* Fix, ver. 2.0

More fixes!

-The Sub-mission has been revamped. The new system is simpler, but less limited. Which is cool. Limits suck.
-Some general graphical/cosmetic improvements made to stages 1-4. Looks are important, you know!

That's all for now! I'm gonna go chill with some thin mints and The Internet. Later.

-Jessica

Your Daily* Fix

This is where all the bug fixes and patches and such will be posted! But will probably not be daily. I just like the title. We don't have a complete list of all fixes thus far, but here's what happened today!

-Hit/Dodge ratio has been fixed, and will be available with the Stage 5 pack, and with the Full Repack.

What an eventful day!

-Jessica

Signs of Life!

This blog is sloooowly coming together, kind of. There's an 'About Us' bit now! Er. Yay? Hopefully, this will act as a place to post links and bug fixes and epic poems about the godliness of the SRWRE Team.

I am completely serious about that last part.

SRWRE DevBlog

Due to popular demand and the need to settle a place online for the project, we have decided to start a blog.
